Yountville Veteran’s Park was a proposal for a gate of laser cut steel depicting an exploding dandelion.  Initially inspired by the poem “In Flanders Fields” by John McCrae, the project evolved from poppies to dandelions, as I came to feel to the explosion of a dandelion ball better expressed the visual I was seeking of soldiers souls floating upward after war.
