– DINNER ABOVE –

True Story: “Dinner in the Sky” was a dining experience for those “tired of culinary encumbrances like, you know, solid earth beneath your feet.”  Dangling from a crane 150 feet in the air, people would be served by “Sky Chefs” as they dined in chairs with seat belts on a five course meal and flight inspired mixology.  This series is about bird dinners.  Each bird has a dinner above it, in the sky.  If birds had still lifes, they would be of food, just like ours usually are.

These are pieces exploring the possibility of capturing the freshness of watercolors and charcoal in glaze.  Most are high fired, then glazed and fired again at a lower temperature to maintain the color intensity.
